A MASSIVE congratulations to the team at Harry Byrne's who took home the 'Local Pub of the Year Award' at the Irish Pub Awards last night.
We're sure it was a late night of celebrations last night... so there might be a late start today... and some sore heads!
Although the Inn was first licensed way back in 1798, the man whose name you see over the door, Harry Byrne, began serving the local community here in 1920 as a barman. In 1947, Byrne purchased the pub and made it the well-loved local gem it is today that continues to be run by the Byrne family.
So next time you pop into Harry's for a quiet one, be sure to say congrats!
