)
The 3.30 at Cheltenham, a gripping new play by Kenneth Hudson, takes to the stage at the Viking Theatre in Clontarf, tackling one of society’s often invisible issues: gambling addiction. The show kicks off this Monday, 20th January at 8pm and will run until Saturday 1st February.
Follow the life of Andy Williams, whose pursuit of the impossible win leads to devastating consequences, not just for himself but for those around him. Directed by Paul Meade and brought to life by the talented Ken Hudson and Darragh Conway, this homegrown production mixes humor, honesty and hard-hitting truths to shed light on the quiet, dark side of the gambling industry.
Commissioned by the Gambling Awareness Trust as part of a new awareness campaign, the play aims to educate audiences on the risks of gambling addiction while showcasing where support is available in their communities.
“Gambling addiction is often invisible, but its effects are devastating. We hope this play sparks conversation, raises awareness and helps people find the support they need.” - Gúna Nua
