With the Clontarf Player’s performing Drama at Inish at the Sean O’ Casey Theatre this week (Thursday to Saturday) it reminded us to do a quick update on what's available food-wise in Clontarf in terms of early bird / pre-theatre menus.

Whether you're supporting this production or any of the productions in the Viking Theatre, why not make a night of it and support our local restaurants while also supporting local theatre?

Viking Steakhouse 

Viking Steakhouse on the Clontarf Road, run an early bird every Wednesday and Thursday but have decided also to run it this Friday especially for those heading along to the Sean O’ Casey Theatre. The deal runs from 5 pm - 6.30 pm and includes two courses for €22.50 or 3 for €27. 

They also offer a sweet deal of an 8oz prime Irish fillet steak on the stone with chips or salad and dipping sauces for only €17.50 on Wednesday and Thursday. 

Pigeon House 

The Vernon Avenue spot, which was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand this year, run an early bird menu on Thursday from 5.30pm until 7 pm and Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5.30pm - 6.45pm.

Two courses are €22 while three courses are €27. Follow the link for more info 

Moloughneys

Another fantastic spot on Vernon Avenue, Moloughneys is the perfect spot to head for a cosy pre-theatre dinner. Their early bird offering runs all night Thursday and Friday and from 5 pm - 6.30 pm on Saturday. Two courses are €23 and three courses are €28, and they also have a third offer of 2 courses for two people plus a bottle of selected wine for just €68!

The Moloughneys team will also welcome you back to the restaurant after the play for your dessert!

Kinara

Kinara, who are celebrating an incredible 15 years in business this year, have both an early bird menu and a pre-theatre menu. The early bird is available Monday to Thursday 5 pm - 8 pm, while the pre-theatre runs on Friday and Saturday from 4 pm - 6.30pm. 

Bay

Bay’s fantastic ‘Supper Club’ runs Monday to Thursday, and means you can pop in before heading to the Sean O’ Casey and have any two courses from their menu for €22 or any three courses for €27!

Fishbone

Bay’s sister restaurant, Fishbone, opened this past Summer to rave reviews. Anyone heading to Drama at Inish on Thursday or Friday can have an ‘Early Catch’ at Fishbone between 4 pm & 6 pm!

Yang’s

Clontarf’s only Chinese restaurant, Yang’s, offers a fantastic value early bird Monday - Thursday. Anyone with tickets to Thursday performance can enjoy a starter and main plus tea or coffee for just €18.90 until 8 pm!

Fahrenheit Grill

Patrons heading to see the show on Friday can enjoy a delicious early bird offer in the surrounding of the Clontarf Castle until 7 pm for just €23.95 for two courses, or €27.95 for three. 

Kanoodle

If you fancy a light bite at home before seeing the show, Kanoodle are offering a 15% discount on collection orders using the code ‘Dublin15’ for the duration of the road works!
