First Bull Island Action Group litter pick up of 2013
The first Bull Island Action Group beach cleanup of 2013 will take place on Saturday 19th January 2013. As ever, they would appreciate as much help as possible.
The group always meets on the third Saturday of every month at 11am, at the entrance to Dollymount Strand, just beyond the Royal Dublin Golf Club. The duration of the litter pick up is approximately 2 hours. Click this link for a map of the meeting point.
Litter pickers, hoops, gloves and rubbish bags are supplies to all volunteers by the Action Group. Dublin City Council provides a tractor and trailer plus Gerry the driver.
As always, they would appreciate as much help as possible. Try to bring a friend or a family member along with you. Cajole them into making a New Year's Resolution if you must! They will get some exercise, lots of fresh air and give the group some much needed help. Many hands make light work.
Please see the expected weather and tide information for Saturday below. Make sure that you dress for the expected conditions as the beach is very exposed. Rubber boots are always a good idea!
Bull Island Action Group are an organisation that get volunteers together to clean beaches and sand dunes on Dollymount Strand, the Bull Wall, parts of the causeway and the inner shore of North Bull Island.
