Female Actors Needed for Clontarf Play

13 Jan 2014

You may remember the play 'At The Praetorium' which played very successfully in three local churches last year around Easter.

The acting group behind the play are putting on a new play this easter and again it is a passion play with a difference. Jesus is again notable by his absence.

The Play is 'Veil' by Sean Walsh and it focuses on the surrounding story of Veronica who, according to legend, wiped Jesus' face as he made his way to Calvary.

The group have asked us to put out the word that they are looking for two female actors to play the following parts.

  • Role 1: A young woman (20 – 30) ideally playing a rebellious daughter
  • Role 2: A middle aged woman (35 – 55) playing a wife torn between husband, son and rebellious daughter.

The play will be performed in Easter Week – currently there are 3 performances envisaged.  Rehearsals will be twice weekly from the end of January.
