Farewell to Marlowe Cleaners: Closing After 46 Years in Clontarf

It’s the end of an era for Clontarf as Marlowe Cleaners, a familiar part of our community for 46 years, prepares to close its doors. The much-loved business will cease operations on 24 December.

Reflecting on the difficult decision to close, the team expressed heartfelt gratitude to both their loyal staff and valued customers who have supported them over the decades.

In a touching statement, the owners said:

“We are deeply grateful to our loyal staff who have worked so hard and who we regard as family. A big thanks to our customers whose trust you have placed in us over the years. Your support has meant the world to us, and it has been our pleasure to help you look your best.”

They also reassured customers that efforts would be made to ensure the transition is as smooth as possible, with the final loads being accepted until Friday, 20 December, and collections required before the closing date of 24 December.

This announcement has struck a chord with the community, many of whom hold fond memories of Marlowe Cleaners as more than just a business—it’s been a cornerstone of Clontarf life.

As they prepare to hang up their aprons for the final time, David, Jackie and the team leave behind a proud legacy of excellence and community spirit. We thank them for their incredible contribution to Clontarf over the years and wish them all the very best in the next chapter of their journey.
