European Week Of Sport 2026 - Beach Hockey and Dip!

Join Hockey and Dip, a collaboration of Swim Ireland & Hockey Ireland.
This is an introduction to Hockey on the beach followed by an optional Sea Dip in the sea as part of European Week of Sport 2026.
Adults and Teens are invited to join the class, led by Ross Hetem, for an engaging session filled with lots of fun.

Date: 27th of September
Starting Time:
10:00 - Adults session (18yo+)
11:00 - Teens session (11- 17yo)
Optional Restorative Sea Dip after each session
Location:
Dollymount Strand Beach, D05RP86. Through Causeway Road entrance.
Meeting point: 100m to the left hand side as you enter the beach.
What to Bring
- Please wear comfortable clothing for the hockey practice and bring appropriate swim wear e.g. secure bikinis, swim suits and or rashvests to allow for movement
Towel or swim poncho
Warm clothes
Water bottle & Reusable Coffee Cup
- Sun cream, sun glasses, and a cap might be needed.
