Double Celebration this weekend in Clontarf
This Saturday, 17th March is our national feast day, St. Patrick’s Day, and community participation is the central theme for this year’s St. Patrick’s Festival.
With this in mind, the Bull Island Action Group are looking for volunteers on St. Patrick’s Day to help clean up areas of the causeway, Dollymount Strand, the Bull Wall and the inner shore of the North Bull Island. Alternatively, enjoy a walk with friends, take in our coastline and help raise funds for Aware by taking place in their ‘Harbour 2 Harbour’ walk, also on Saturday. See the full details here....
That afternoon, its a St. Patrick’s day showdown for Irish Rugby. At 2pm the Women’s Rugby team take on England at Esher. With a first ever shot at a triple crown after three home wins, this will be a challenging game with England the hot favourites to win. ...Later, in the RBS Six Nations Challenge, Ireland face England at Twickenham. Kick off is at 5pm....here’s hoping the luck of the Irish is behind both teams!
