Dollymount Under The Microscope

Dollymount Strand has caused a storm this week after it was revealed as the location of Emporio Armani's global Autumn/Winter 2014 campaign. The famous beach is renowned for its sprawling miles of sand.

Today, we received a photo that's a little different. Here is Dollymount's sand under the microscope - a truly fascinating image. A huge amount of white mica, a mineral used in toothpaste, can be seen, as well as remenants of shellfish in the upper left corner.
