We are fortunate to live in one of Dublin's most picturesque and vibrant coastal suburbs. Whether you’re a long-time local or a newcomer eager to explore, Clontarf offers an many activities that won't cost you a cent. Here are four fun things to do for free in Clontarf:

1. Stroll Along the Clontarf Promenade

One of the best ways to appreciate our stunning coastal scenery is by taking a leisurely walk along the Clontarf Promenade. Stretching along Dublin Bay, this scenic pathway is perfect for a stroll or jog. The fresh sea air and breathtaking views make it a favourite spot for many locals. Don’t forget to stop and watch the sailboats drift by! 

2. Visit St. Anne's Park

St. Anne's Park, a cherished green space for us Clontarf folk, is one of Dublin's largest and most beautiful parks. Whether exploring the vibrant rose garden, meandering through the woodland trails, or enjoying a family picnic, there’s something for everyone. The park’s playground is a hit with the kids, while the duck pond and various water features are a great place for everyone to relax and unwind.

3. Explore Bull Island and Dollymount Strand

We are incredibly proud of Bull Island, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve right on our doorstep. This unique island boasts diverse landscapes and rich flora and fauna. Dollymount Strand, the island’s sandy beach, is perfect for a relaxing walk, sunbathing, or even a dip in the sea if you’re feeling adventurous.
