Dine your Valentine in Clontarf!

With just over a week to go until Valentine's Day, we’re sure there are many of you who have planned months in advance for the most perfect of days to spoil the one you love! We’re also sure there’s a fairly high percentage of you who still aren’t sure what you should do or how you should spoil your other half - or the one you’re trying to woo!

Never fear! Clontarf has a huge variety of restaurant sure to impress the girl/guy of your dreams. And the best part? As Valentine's day falls on a Sunday this year, this means you can celebrate any day of the weekend - or all weekend if you like…

Bay

Situated at the scenic Dollymount end of the Clontarf Road, Bay is a super spot to wine and dine your Valentine. This Valentine's Weekend they are serving up their chefs specials and À la Carte menu - so all customers will have a wide variety of dishes to choose from.

Bay are taking bookings for all three nights of Valentine's Weekend, with first sitting at 6:15 pm ’till 8 pm and 8:15 pm till close. There’ll also be live music on Saturday and Sunday from 7 pm - 9 pm, so you don’t have to worry about serenading your valentine!

Fahrenheit Grill 

What’s more romantic than taking your Valentine to dinner in a castle? 

Fahrenheit Restaurant at Clontarf Castle, have an exciting ‘Valentine’s Experience’ on from the 12th - 14th February. Entitled “Purse…onality”, chef Stuart Heney creates a truly luxurious and stylish menu mirroring the love of luxury handbags. Impress with this decadent four-course meal, including a glass of prosseco for just €44.95 per person.

Viking Steakhouse

Love is in the air at Vikings Steakhouse this Valentine's weekend! 

They’re keeping things simple in their cosy 60 seat restaurant at 225 Clontarf Road, and serving up their always special menu items - steak on a stone anyone?

On both Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th, Viking Steakhouse is offering all diners a complimentary glass of Prosecco and a complimentary house special dessert per couple! What’s not to love??

Kennedy’s 

If Valentine’s means celebrating with the entire family (there’s definitely some little ones who want to celebrate ‘Balentimes Day’!), why not pop into Kennedy’s for breakfast or brunch until 1pm or lunch until 4pm!

Their wonderfully bright cafe on Vernon Avenue is perfect to stop off with the kids after a walk along the Prom. From breakfast sausages to soups, salads and sandwiches, Kennedy’s have something for everyone - including gluten free options. They also pride themselves in serving organic, fair-trade and rainforest alliance certified teas and coffees!

Papillon

Ideally located at the Wooden Bridge Papillon holds beautiful views from both their ground and upper dining levels. Specialising in sharing plates containing a huge variety of exciting ingredients, Papillon is the perfect place to share a little love this Valentine's weekend. 

And if a romantic morning stroll is part of your Valentines play, be sure to pop by for a coffee and scone and soak up the views of Dublin Bay!

La Costa

Maybe your babysitter has already been nabbed or you just fancy a night in by the fire?

A delicious fish supper could be just the thing.

Massimo and Romina at La Costa source the freshest fish for their customers and the chips are to die for. Best chicken tenders in Dublin too.  

They also have a fantastic range of hand made pizzas which would go beautifully with a bottle of wine from Clontarf Wines - who are just a few doors down!

Moloughney’s

Moloughney’s is gem situated right in the centre of Clontarf, on Vernon Avenue. Its red brick aesthetic is warmly welcoming, while inside the cosy candle lit atmosphere oozes romance!

With a vast dinner menu there is something for everyone at Moloughney’s (including vegetarian and coeliac options), so you’re guaranteed not to disappoint!

Olives Room

Moloughney’s little sister, Olive’s Room is located in the historical Red Stables of St. Anne’s Park. If you’re planning a romantic trip to St. Anne’s on Valentine's day stop by for a delicious cinnamon roll and a coffee, or take it with you and keep yourself warm while you while a couple of hours away in the leafy oasis!

Kinara 

If you’re looking to spice things up this Valentine's weekend, head to Kinara to transport your Valentine to a warmer clime. Particularly enjoyable if the weather isn’t great! 

With its views of Dublin Bay and exciting menu ingredients, Kinara is sure to impress the one you love!

Kanoodle

Since opening in Clontarf a short number of years ago, Kanoodle is always bustling with hungry Clontarfites getting their fill of healthier Asian cuisine.
