CY&BC; Xmas Day Swim 2016 - Thank You!

06 Jan 2017

The Commodore of Clontarf Yacht and Boat Club would like to extend his thanks to all of those who took part in this year’s Christmas Swim in aid of the RLNI. Speaking about the success of the event, Larry Meany said,

“We had an incredible 100 people for this year’s Christmas Swim in aid of the RLNI, as well as supporters, friends and family who provided the much needed encouragement to the brave swimmers. The conditions were perfect and we are grateful to the volunteers from Clontarf Yacht and Boat Club who ensured that everyone got in and out of the water in a safe way. In keeping with CY&BC tradition, this was a sponsored swim in aid of the RLNI, who provide vital services to water users year round. Thanks to the generosity of those who took part we raised over €2000 on Christmas morning. I would like to extend my thanks to all those who took part and contributed and to our club volunteers who made it happen.”

And remember, if you couldn't muster up the courage to get in the water this time round, there's always next year!!
