CY&BC Adult Sailing Course 2nd - 6th May

Are you interested in sailing? Have you often seen people out in their boats and wondered what it might be like?

Well, the opportunity is here for you to try it out at Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club! CY&BC run an Adult Introduction to Sailing Course every May, dedicating a week of sailing to budding trainees. The club gets great satisfaction in introducing new people to the sport they love - keeping it simple, fun and friendly. Participants will spend the majority of the course on the water, helping you to start learning the ropes. No sailing experience required!

Course Dates & Times

• Tues 2nd May - 7pm
• Weds 3rd May - 7pm
• Thurs 4th May - 7pm 
• Fri 5th May - 7pm
• Sat 6th May - 7pm
• Sunday 7th May - 9.30 am

On Saturday 6th May, there is a BBQ and the course is finished up with a Rookie Race on Sunday 7th May (for those with energy!)

The cost of the course is €225. Areas covered during the introduction course include:

-An introduction to sailing

-Principles of sailing

-Safety

-Weather

-On the water experience

-Practical demonstrations

-Information handout/booklet

-End fo course certificate

All successful trainees will receive a certificate which is presented at the celebratory end of course BBQ, where trainees can mingle with other sailors and arrange further sailing experiences.
