Crucial Away win for Clontarf in AIL Rugby
Clontarf copperfastened their position at the top of Division 1A of the Ulster Bank League with a hard fought win away to Young Munster.
The final score at Tom Clifford Park: Young Munster 17 - Clontarf 24.
Converted tries by captain, Barry O'Mahony in the first follwed up with tries from Killian Lett and Niall Treston in second half put Clontarf out of reach despite a late rally by the home side. Young Munster will rue the five missed penalties by their out-half which had a big impact on the final result.
Clontarf move on to a home match at Castle Avenue next Saturday and a vocal home crowd is expected to turn out as the season nears its end.
