CRA makes a submission re the Clontarf Baths application

We recently reported that a new planning application had been received for the Clontarf Baths site on the promenade.

The closing date for submissions in relation to this application was last Tuesday 16th August 2011.

Having studied the application closely and met with the applicant and local residents our submission raises an objection to the proposed development and sets out 15 distinct points which we believe illustrate that the application is insufficiently detailed and should therefore be refused.

In principle, we contend that the application is short on the detailed technical information required to make the application itself credible and further clarification is sought to determine how the proposed development would comply with the Dublin City Development Plan 2011-2017. If our points are addressed it would allow us and other interested parties to assess the application more accurately on its merits.
