Construction Works @ CRC - Public Notice

02 May 2017

The CRC have construction work planned for their grounds on Vernon Avenue, following extensive damage from flooding. They have sent us the below public notice in relation to these works:

In 2011 and 2013 the CRC experienced two significant flood events, resulting in substantial damage to property and premises, and disruption of our services and school. Our insurers subsequently imposed a punitive excess of €100k on our buildings policy.

To avoid further damage, disruption and costs, the CRC is embarking on a major scheme of flood defence works to offset the risk of future flooding. These works require major drainage installations in the grounds of the car park and will have a severe impact on our ability to use and access our external spaces for a number of months.

The building work is due to commence in June and will continue for at least six months. Two thirds of the car park will be out of use for this period.

As you will appreciate, our first priority must be for the CRC school children and clients who are attending for appointments.

A public information evening will be held on Wednesday, May 17th 6pm-7pm in the CRC canteen.

Updates will be available on www.crc.ie and www.loveclontarf.ie

We greatly appreciate your co-operation with these works.
