Clontarf's Shave, Wax or Dye Night Success

10 May 2013

Update:

We have an update on the success of Clontarf's Shave, Wax or Dye Night. We have received word from Anthony that the grand total raised during the fundraising event was a massive €13,259 - way beyond their expectations. Anthony and Carmel would like to thank everyone for their support and help in raising these much needed funds for the Irish Cancer Society.

Clontarf’s Shave, Wax or Dye Night 2013 took place on Saturday, April 27th and was held in Harry Byrne’s Pub.

Organised by Anthony Murphy and his sister Carmel, the charity event aimed to raise much needed funds for the Irish Cancer Society. Anthony called for volunteers to raise money by shaving, waxing or dying their hair, or by sponsoring someone who would.

Of course, Anthony led the way by visiting Hessions Hairdressing in Clontarf for a new ‘do - the photos below speak for themselves!

There was a fantastic turn-out on the night and everybody enjoyed themselves. So far the money raised has totalled over €8,100 and is set to reach €10,000 overall - an amazing achievement for Anthony and Carmel, and for everyone in Clontarf that supported the cause.

Take a look at the photos from the night in our gallery here. You can still donate to the cause by visiting the official charity page here.

Anthony and Carmel would like to scincerely thank everyone that helped by turning up on the night or by spreading the word.
