On Saturday 31st January, the Crowne Plaza was the venue for the 10th Annual Community and Council Awards hosted by the Local Authority Members Association (LAMAs) and presented by Miriam O’ Callaghan.

The LAMA awards acknowledge the and reward the efforts of community and voluntary groups, business organisations, innovative initiatives, pioneering individuals and Local Authorities in their pursuit of excellence. loveclontarf.ie was delighted to be invited to the event as a nominee for ‘Best Connected Community’.

Clontarf was described by the awards panel as “an incredibly proactive, generous and hard-working community. In conjunction with local associations, the website loveclontarf.ie plays a key role in promoting, organising and documenting happenings in the community, making is a hub of information, not only for locals, but for visitors of the area.”

We were absolutely over the moon to be announced as the 2016 Best Connected Community for the third year running! We couldn’t have done it without the support of the Clontarf Residents Association, the Clontarf Business Association and DCC, but most importantly, we couldn’t have done it without the support of all of our wonderful readers and subscribers!

Here at loveclontarf.ie we endeavour to keep not only the residents of Clontarf, but people from all over Dublin and also visitors to our area, informed on all the fantastic things our area has to offer! The past year has been a busy one here at the website and we look forward to seeing the same for the rest of 2016!
