loveclontarf.ie are delighted to announce that our website has won the ‘Best Connected Community’ award at the 2015 LAMA Awards. The awards ceremony took place on Saturday 24th of January in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Santry. This is the second year in a row that loveclontarf.ie has been awarded this title.

Creating a strong digital approach to connecting the community has been Clontarf’s main aim for the past couple of years. In the year since our first LAMA win, the digital aspects of the community have blossomed and surpassed what could have been expected for an online community platform.

The past year was an incredibly important one for Clontarf due to the Battle of Clontarf anniversary in April 2014. A huge amount of Irish and international attention was on Clontarf this year, and the community pulled together to make the anniversary one of the biggest events in the country this year. loveclontarf.ie featured extensive coverage of all themed events and happenings.

In the midst of all this, loveclontarf.ie still kept on top of everything else that was happening in Clontarf, from promoting the arts to playing a key role in community issues. The team at loveclontarf.ie are in touch with Dublin City Council on a regular basis to make sure that readers of the website are provided with accurate and up-to-date information on community issues.

loveclontarf.ie now plays a central role in the community.

The loveclontarf.ie Team is honoured to receive this award for the second year in a row. Our goal for 2015 is to continue this high standard and remain the number one online source for all news, events and comment relating to Clontarf.

The loveclontarf.ie team would like to thank both the Clontarf Residents Association and the Clontarf Business Association who are a tremendous support to us throughout the year. As well as this, a sincere thank you is due to all of the local businesses and readers who support us day in, day out. Without you, this wouldn’t be possible.
