loveclontarf.ie Secures Funding For Rebecca Mooney In World Championships

Earlier last month, loveclontarf.ie ran a story to try and find a sponsor for Rebecca Mooney, a talented young sportsperson from Clontarf. Rebecca had been selected to compete in the Taekwon-do World Championships in Italy this summer. 

loveclontarf.ie is delighted to announce that our hunt was successful!

Here is the official statement sent to us by Clontarf TKD:

"Clontarf Taekwon-do Club is delighted to announce that thanks to the publicity created by loveclontarf.ie. Rebecca Mooney has received sponsorship from Nolan's Supermarket and Stafford Funeral Homes for the World Championships in Italy. Together with the support from members for the Easter raffle all Rebecca's costs for the World Championships have now been covered.

This topped off a very positive week that saw Rebecca win the Open International in the National Basketball Arena last weekend as her preparation for Italy continues.

Rebecca was part of the very successful Clontarf TKD team that finished in an impressive 7th place from 45 Clubs for the second successive ITA tournament in the last 4 months. You can read the full report on the competition on www.taekwondocentre.org"
