Clontarf Wines A Brand New Shop For Wine Connoisseurs

12 Dec 2013

For all you wine connoisseurs there is an exciting treat in store for you in Clontarf. We are delighted to announce the recent opening of a brand new shop.

The new “Clontarf Wines” is a dedicated wine shop located beside the old Diffusion boutique, providing quality wines and wine information to the people of Clontarf and surrounding areas.

The owners Helena and Ronnie Caraher (who live in Clontarf), both hold the WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Diploma in Wine, making the store quite a rarity, as it is very unusual in the wine industry for a wine shop to have two staff members with the qualification.

Helena’s passion for quality wines is apparent: “Researching and sourcing good wines is a full-time job in itself. And it’s not about expensive wines, it’s about value. There’s an enormous amount of wines available at under €15. Unfortunately, not all of them are worth the money, and it’s our job to find the ones that are good value. And we have found plenty of them – we work with some great suppliers and have been fortunate to have met some great winemakers over the years that provide us with wines that offer great value for our customers”.

The team at loveclontarf.ie have visited on several occasions and the advice is always top notch. Whether you are looking for advice on a food pairing or advice on the perfect liquid gift.

If you are a bit of a collector with a palette for the slightly extravagant, Clontarf Wines also cater for the ‘top end’ of the wine market, with a Fine Wines room containing some hard-to-get gems!

So this Christmas if you are looking for a quality vino to complement the Christmas dinner then make sure to pay Clontarf Wines a visit for those all important tips on getting a nice bottle.

It's also great to see another new business starting up in Clontarf, reflecting renewed confidence in the local economy.
