Clontarf Voter Turnout Amongst Highest in Dublin

23 Jun 2015

A recent article written by Adrian Kavanagh (found here), has found that the voting turnout in Clontarf for the Marriage Equality / Presidential Candidate Age Referendum was amongst the highest in Dublin. As the article reveals, the highest turnout was experienced in settled and middle class suburban areas, while numbers dropped dramatically closer to the city centre.

The polling box data provided by the Dublin City Returning Officer's website states that Clontarf experienced on average a 65% - 70% voter turnout, with some areas of the suburb experiencing a +70% turnout. Well done to everyone who went out and voted, and we hope that you all continue to exercise your right to vote in future referendums and elections!
