Clontarf U15 team beat Skerries 12-5
Clontarf's U-15 side came through a very physical match on Sunday to beat Skerries 12-5 in Malahide and claim the Leinster league final in what has been an unbeaten season to date.
It was a tight game played before a positive and appreciative crowd in North County Dublin, with Tarf's tries coming from Michael Power and Ben Duggan. Michael Fitzpatrick converted Power's try to ensure victory for the Clontarf men.
Man of the match, Mikey McGiff was outstanding throughout the game and the side put up a strong defence in the closing stages to keep Skerries at bay and claim the Leinster League Cup.
The side, coaches David Slattery, Paul Mulvaney and Gerry Beechinor now look forward to the remaining games of the season.
