Clontarf SPAR Stores Claim Top Accolade at National 5 Star Awards

loveclontarf.ie would like to say a very big congratulations to Gus O’Hara’s SPAR Clontarf Vernon Avenue and Stiles Road which both received a very prestigious award on the 6th February 2014 –Two Clontarf SPAR stores received one of retail’s highest honours at the recent 5 Star Awards.

Retailers from all over Ireland gathered at Killashee House, Co Kildare, for the prestigious awards ceremony run by BWG Foods, owners and operators of the SPAR and SPAR Express brands in Ireland.  

Held in association with the Excellence Ireland Quality Association, the 5 Star Awards are only given to SPAR and SPAR Express stores that pass a grueling year-long inspection, including unannounced audits and visits from mystery shoppers.

Two Clontarf stores were given 5 Star awards and both stores also received special recognition for winning 5 Star awards for five years in a row, Gus O’Hara’s SPAR Clontarf Vernon Avenue and Stiles Road.

The SPAR 5 Star Awards Scheme is a rolling scheme where participants must undergo rigorous year long assessments across a range of categories including customer care, shop presentation, food safety and retailing innovation.
