Clontarf Rose & Viking Festival

21 Jul 2011

The Clontarf Rose and Viking Festival was a tremendous success this year with large crowds descending on Clontarf for the two day festival.

Saturday was the pick of the days weather wise and there was a very big turnout as people enjoyed the sunshine. Sunday was much wetter yet there was still a decent turnout.

The Viking Village proved very popular as did the various kids activities which included a merry-go-round and a climbing wall. There was plenty od music and dance and a great line of food and other stalls.

Local restaurants, Moloughneys and Kinara, were in attendance and they seemed to have the biggest queues for food throughout both days.

The event was brilliantly organised by Dublin City Council events team and this was evidenced by visitors being able to enter and exit the event with relative ease. Local traffic disruption was also minimised. Well done to all concerned and we're already looking forward to next years event.
