Clontarf Residents Association Urges Responsible Disposal of Garden Waste

Clontarf Residents' Association would like to remind residents that grass clippings and garden waste should not be left on the kerbside for DCC to collect. Neither should it be added to or dumped beside the leaf mould cages. Garden waste should be composted or disposed of in the Brown bin.
Alternatively, DCC accepts green waste at their Bring Centres on Collins Ave and Oscar Traynor Road. The charge for green waste is €2 per bag (80ltr max) or €16 per skip bag (1m3 max). Leaving bags of rubbish or garden waste on the kerbside constitutes illegal dumping.
DCC Blue Bags are only to be used for removal of litter during organised community clean ups and where arrangements have been made with DCC for the bags to be left at an agreed location with an agreed collection time.
