03 Dec 2021

The first week of December has seen a number of Clontarf-related news items featured in national news and broadcasts. Check them out below. Are there any other Clontarf stories we've missed?

CRC & Ellen Keane featured on Ireland AM

To mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Ireland AM had CRC representatives as well as Paralympic Gold Medalist Ellen Keane on the show, discussing the impact non-accessible public and private facilities can have on those with disabilities.

The day was set up to raise awareness about the rights of those living with disabilities.  It also mentioned the great work being done by 'Changing Places' in this space. Well done to all involved.

Pink Heads Fundraiser Featured in the Indo

You might remember we posted about Charlie's fundraiser in memory of his mum Deborah back in October here. Charlie and his two pals set a goal of raising €800 for Arc Cancer Supports and the Irish Cancer Society. The Independent reported this week that the boys have raised over €26,000 for the charities. What a feat!

Royal Dublin Welcomes Members of All Genders

After 136 years, Royal Dublin, the only Golf Club remaining in Ireland with a strict male-only member policy, will now allow members of all genders. A great win for gender equality. More info over on the Irish Times website here
