Clontarf Food and Fun Fair on 18th June

13 Jun 2011

We are delighted to be able to announce the full details of the Clontarf Food and Fun Day which takes place next Saturday. Here is the press release from the Clontarf Business Association:

Clontarf, in association with Dublin City Council, announces a day of fun to celebrate Clontarf Festival Fun & Food day on Saturday 18th of June 2pm-6pm.  The party starts on Clontarf Promenade (at the bottom of Vernon Avenue) stretching to the prom at Hollybrook Road.

Squeals of delight as words of welcome from our very own Lord Mayor Gerry Breen, then MC Ray Shah will kick us off with some old-fashioned merriment for the little ‘uns, from three-legged races to face painting to bouncy castles to arts & crafts and plenty of sports from all of our local sporting clubs.

Folks of all ages will be inspired by a karate demonstration and our youth boxers are all set to give us a taste of their southpaw’s in a custom build erected boxing ring.  Children will be wowed by a visit from our little friends at the Reptile Zoo and Bridgestone F1 formula Jordan Car no doubt will stop the traffic positioned on the prom at Hollybrook Road end of Clontarf, this no doubt will be a huge attraction to all!

Laugh out loud, breath in our salty air and be part of a 'taste of Clontarf' as our local foodies & restaurants will serve up delicious foods on the day …

Meanwhile, the Clontarf Businesses have pledged to get down and dirty during the grown ups’ Tug of War later in the afternoon…. brings new meaning to the term ‘healthy competition’!
