Clontarf Flood Defences Survey - please complete

12 Oct 2012

Further to our recent newsletter that we are sending out a survey this week on behalf of the Clontarf Residents’ Association and Clontarf Business Association in relation to the Clontarf Flood Defence scheme.

Why we are undertaking this survey:
On 5 December 2011, Dublin City Councillors voted unanimously for the following motion:

“That this Council rejects Dublin City Council’s proposed Clontarf Flood Defence Plan in its entirety and calls upon the City Manager to immediately begin planning a new Clontarf Flood Defence with full consultation with the public.  These new flood defences will protect the area from flooding and preserve the amenity that is Clontarf Promenade.”

The Clontarf Residents’ Association and Clontarf Business Association are seeking your opinions to feed into the process for the selection of a new flood defence design.

This survey should take just a few minutes of your time. Your input is vital and matters to your community and to future generations.

We ask that you disseminate this survey to friends and colleagues who may wish to participate.  Clontarf Promenade is an amenity for the whole of Dublin City and an attraction to visitors from further afield.

The final design of the flood defence system will have an impact on this important amenity in the city, so make your voice heard and your opinion count.

Thanks in advance.
