Clontarf Cricket Club Appoint Andre Botha as Senior Coach

Clontarf Cricket Club have today announced the appointment of Andre Botha as Senior Coach. A former member of the club, Andre will coaching of the adult section of Clontarf CC while Andrew Poynter will continue as Head of Youth Coaching.

Originally from South Africa, Andre joined Clontarf as an 18 year old and made 142 appearances for Clontarf 1st XI between 1994 and 2000. He then moved to North County CC where he made a vaulable contribution to their 5 Irish Senior Cup wins between 2001 and 2008. 

Andre played for Ireland between 2001 and 2011 winning 141 caps. 

Since retiring from international cricket, Andre has focused on his coaching career spending the last two years with Terenure CC as Player/Coach. He also coaches in South Africa during the Irish winter.
