Clontarf Castle Light up for Christmas with CRC!

27 Nov 2020

Over the past 5 years, Clontarf Castle has created a beautiful heartwarming event to coincide with the lighting of their festive Christmas lights. Each year, during the middle of November they set a date to invite our local community and special guests from the CRC to turn on the lights at the Castle.

Weeks and weeks of man-hours go into the planning, installing and decoration of the hotel – inside and out. Pupils at the CRC hold the most important job, doing the honour of turning on the lights and signifying the start of celebrating Christmas at the Castle!

This year due to coronavirus pandemic, plans had to change... but the Castle certainly wanted to keep the tradition!

The team led by General Manager, Sarah Flavin, decided to exclusively invite 10 children and their families from the CRC to drive up to the Castle on the 24th of November to watch from the comfort of their cars, the turning on of the lights with a surprise visit from a very special guest... to put a smile on your face and bring on the Christmas festivities check out the video below!

And if you're popping round to the Castle at any stage over the weekend. Remember their Indigo Lounge is open for coffee and tea to go alongside some yummy treats!
