Clontarf Castle Goes Green for Paddy's Day!

Clontarf Castle Hotel Dublin is going Green to celebrate the St Patrick’s Day celebrations in style.Commencing on Monday the 14th March until Sunday the 20th March, Clontarf Castle’s striking historic exterior and the Castle Gate lodge will be lit up in Green lighting to celebrate the worldwide celebration that is St Patricks Day.

This is Clontarf Castle Hotel’s third time going green for St Patrick’s Day and we are proud to be flying the flag for Dublin #GoGreenforPatricksDay.In a major coup for tourism to the island of Ireland, Tourism Ireland’s Global Greening initiative has grown from strength to strength, both in Ireland and internationally with iconic sites like the Colosseum, Niagra Falls, Christ the Redeemer statue, the London Eye and even the Great Wall of China will go Green to celebrate the St Patrick’s Day. 

2016 is the seventh year of Tourism Ireland's Global Greening initiative with over 120 iconic landmarks and sites across the world going green, marking St Patrick’s Day and kicking off the summer tourism season. 

St Patrick’s Day and Global Greening annually trends on social media across the globe, as news media around the world featured the island of Ireland and the ‘greenings’ in their bulletins and broadcasts, in newspapers and online, helping to keep the island of Ireland in the global publicity spotlight and promote holidays here.
