Clontarf 2014 Committee presents commemorative medallions
Members of the 2014 Committee recently attended a national coordination meeting that was hosted by the North South Ministerial Council (NSMC) in Armagh. The group attended a dinner the night before which was attended by the commemoration committee from Killaloe, Clare County Council, Dublin County Council, Tipperary County Councils and Armagh District Council along with members of the North South Ministerial Council.
Also in attendance were representatives from Tourism Ireland and Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
Collette Gill, chair of the Clontarf 2014 Committee presented the Battle of Clontarf commemorative medallion to Shane O'Neill and Colm Shannon of the two Joint Secretaries of the NSMC and to Alan Clarke, Chief Executive of Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
The medallion was commissioned by Dennis McIntyre and is available for purchase.
