Clohisey Qualifies for Olympics 2016!
Clontarf’s very own Mick Clohisey has officially qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
After what must have been a tortuously long qualification period of 17 months, Athletics Ireland announced their official selection on Monday, 23rd May.
Mick was the second fastest of the three men who will fly the flag for Ireland in Rio this August, making qualifying time at the Berlin Marathon last September 2015, and shaving a further two minutes off this time in Seville in February, by coming in at 2:15:11.
