CBA Christmas Tree Lighting Event Friday 22nd of November
This years Christmas Tree Lighting Event will take place on Friday the 22nd of November next from 6.15pm in the car park at the bottom of Vernon Avenue.
Event Highlights:
- Santa Visit in an open top car (arrives at 6.30pm)
- Santa to turn on the Christmas Tree lights
- Local choir to sing Christmas carols
- Tasty nibbles provided by local businesses
The event will be shorter than last year and will last about 1 hour.
This years' Christmas Event will not include a Santa's Grotto as previously. The main reason for this is firstly lack of financial resources available for such an offering and also lack of volunteers to assist with such an event. Furthermore 2014 is an extremely important event for Clontarf and the CBA is currently involved in organising a number of events for this year-long commemoration which has stretched both the CBA's finances and manpower.
As such the CBA has decided to hold a smaller event this Christmas. We apologise in advance for any disappointment however the CBA is a voluntary organisation and we do hope to have Santa's Grotto return in the near future
