Bull Island Beach Clean | October 2018

18 Oct 2018

The Bull Island Action Group ‘Monthly Beach Clean Up’ for October 2018, will take place on Saturday the 20th.

Those wishing to volunteer are asked to arrive at the entrance to Dollymount Strand at 10:45 AM for sign on and equipment, in order to begin the clean up as quickly as possible at 11 am.

Dublin City Council will provide a tractor and trailer, plus a driver, to remove and dispose of all the rubbish collected by volunteers. The Dublin Port Company will provide litter-picking equipment, such as litter-pickers, bin bag hoops, rubbish bags and gloves.

The weather forecast for Saturday sunny spells with no rain and a cool temperature of 12 C. Dress according to the conditions expected but be sure to wrap up well and bring a waterproof jacket - just in case! High SPF sunscreen is still advisable. Sturdy footwear and thick socks are essential and rubber boots are always a good idea.

This is a great opportunity to make a difference in our community and keep Clontarf looking beautiful!
