Bull Island Beach Clean | November 2018

15 Nov 2018

The Bull Island Action Group Monthly Beach Clean Up for November 2018 will take place this Saturday, 17th.

Those wishing to volunteer are asked to arrive at the entrance to Dollymount Strand (just past Royal Dublin Golf Club) at 10:45 AM, in order to begin the clean up at 11 AM

Dublin City Council will provide a tractor and trailer, plus a driver, to remove and dispose of all the rubbish collected by volunteers. The Dublin Port Company will provide litter-picking equipment, such as litter-pickers, bin bag hoops, rubbish bags and gloves.

The weather for Saturday is set to be partly cloudy with no rain forecast. There will be a light breeze of 6m/s from the southeast. The temperature is forecast to be quite cool at 12 C.. Sturdy footwear and thick socks are essential and rubber boots are always a good idea. Despite it set to be overcast, bringing suncream is a good idea too as UV rays can still permeate the clouds.

Why not bring a friend or family member along? The more volunteers the more work that can be done!

Phil Behan will be stepping in for Donal & Lisa this week, looking after sign in and equipment distribution and collection. Any help you can offer him on the day would be much appreciated.
