Bull Island Action Group | Final Clean of 2019
The Bull Island Action Group Monthly Beach Clean Up for December 2019 will take place this Saturday, 21st. This is the final Beach Clean of 2019, so it would be great to see as many people as possible down on Dollymount to end the year on a high!
Those wishing to volunteer are asked to arrive at the entrance to Dollymount Strand (just past Royal Dublin Golf Club) at 10:45 AM, in order to begin the clean up at 11 AM
Dublin City Council will provide a tractor and trailer, plus a driver, to remove and dispose of all the rubbish collected by volunteers. The Dublin Port Company will provide litter-picking equipment, such as litter-pickers, bin bag hoops, rubbish bags and gloves.
The forecast is partly cloudy with no rain expected. There will be a light breeze of 4 m/s from the west-southwest. The temperature is expected to be between 2 C and 6 C. Sturdy footwear and thick socks are essential and rubber boots are always a good idea. Despite it set to be overcast, bringing suncream is a good idea too as UV rays can still permeate the clouds.
Those taking part are invited to join the group in Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club for some festive hot drinks and mince pies from 1:15 p.m.
Finally, The Bull Island Action group would like to wish you warm Christmas greetings to you and to your special ones. Thank you very much for helping out during 2019.
