Bull Island Action Group - Final Beach Clean Up for 2016!

15 Dec 2016

The final Bull Island Action Group Monthly Beach Clean Up for 2016 will take place this Saturday, 17th December.

Those wishing to volunteer are asked to arrive at the entrance to Dollymount Strand (just past Royal Dublin Golf Club) at 10:45 AM, in order to begin the clean up at 11 AM

Dublin City Council will provide a tractor and trailer, plus a driver, to remove and dispose of all the rubbish collected by volunteers.

The Dublin Port Company will provide litter-picking equipment, such as litter-pickers, bin bag hoops, rubbish bags and gloves.

The weather forecast for Saturday is 'Partly cloudy with no rain forecast. Gentle breeze of 5 m/s from west. The forecast temperature will be very cold at 4 C'.

Dress according to the conditions expected so be sure to wrap up well and bring a waterproof jacket. Sturdy footwear and thick socks are essential and rubber boots are always a good idea.

Why not try to persuade a friend or a family member to join you? The more volunteers we have, the greater the amount of work that we can do.

Afterwards, please come to Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club for festive hot drinks and mince pies.

Finally the group would like to wish warm Christmas greetings to you and to your special ones and thank everyone who helped out during 2016.
