Book Launch - Meadow of the Bull, A History of Clontarf.
It's been twenty seven years since Dennis McIntyre first published "The Meadow of the Bull, A History of Clontarf". You will probably find a well worn copy of this book in every household in Clontarf and it has been the authority on the history of Clontarf ever since.
To commemorate the Millennium Anniversary of the Battle of Clontarf, Dennis has fully revised and updated his book and is launching this new edition on Thursday the 29th May, at 8pm in the Indigo Lounge, Clontarf Castle Hotel.
Dennis is well known to all in Clontarf as an author, historian, tour guide, broadcaster and former teacher in Belgrove school. Dennis was a founding member and first chairman of Clontarf Historical Society and also a founder of Stoker Dracula Gothic International Organisation of which he is a director. Recently Dennis established Clontarf Tourism to promote the Clontarf area and broaden its appeal to tourists and general visitors alike. Clontarf Tourism wishes that one and all will be lured to "Clontarf by the Sea" and enjoy the Clontarf Experience.
