Bike Week 2022 - Cycling without Age Clontarf
Bike Week 2022 takes place from Saturday 14th to Saturday 21st May. There are a number of initiatives and events taking place over the course of the week, so be sure to keep an eye on our website and social channels for updates.
First up, is Cycling without Age Clontarf, which will be hosting short journey around St. Anne's on Saturday 14th & 21st!
CWA (Cycling without Age - Clontarf) are a group of volunteer cyclists that offer their time to bring folks for a cycle around St Annes Park. It's free and really free as there is no charge, donation or tips involved. It's intended for folks that might not have the mobility that they enjoyed previously and also for those that might not be able to walk for long periods of time unassisted.
It's all about getting out and about in the fresh air and seeing the park in all its glory. Getting the wind in your hair again. Passengers that have joined CWA on these tours of the park get really exhilarated and delighted with the experience. Check out their Facebook page 'Cycling Without Age - Clontarf ' where the team share some of the stories of the wonderful people they encounter each week.
In support of Bike week, CWA will be hosting short 30 minute journeys around the park, to open up the experience to a wider group on Saturday the 14th and Saturday the 21st. Come meet CWA at the Red Stables in St Annes Park. Bring your Granny, Grandad, Mum, Dad or maybe a friend or Neighbour that would benefit from the cycle on of their magical Trishaws. You never know you might even enjoy it!
