Big Match Day This Saturday: Clontarf Host Lansdowne in AIL Semi-Final

14 Apr 2025

The energy is building in Clontarf this week, as Castle Avenue prepares to host a significant fixture in the Irish club rugby season. This Saturday, 19th April, Clontarf Rugby will welcome well-known rivals Lansdowne for the Energia All-Ireland League Division 1A Semi-Final. The match kicks off at 4:30 pm.

For the Clontarf team, led by club captain Dylan Donnellan and Head Coach Andy Wood, it's an important moment in their season. They find themselves just one win away from reaching the All-Ireland League Final at the Aviva Stadium later this month. Playing at home is always special, and the encouragement from local supporters is genuinely valued by the players and everyone at the club.

The last time these two sides met, it certainly provided plenty of excitement for spectators, with the result only decided in the final moments of the game. With a place in the final at stake this time around, another engaging and competitive match is anticipated.

Supporters are welcome to arrive early, find a good spot, enjoy something from the food trucks, or grab a coffee and a treat while soaking up the pre-match buzz.

It's set to be an important day for the club community – its players, members and supporters. We hope to see you there!
