Be Vigilant | Bogus Handymen Calling to Homes in Clontarf
In the past week, we have had a number of messages from followers of LoveClontarf.ie, who had experienced dealings with bogus maintenance workers, 'specialising in roofing and gutters'
Residents in Clontarf have reported two men calling to their homes offering to clean gutters or remove birds nests and not doing the work. An elderly couple were also targeted and told they needed a tile on their roof fixed. The men quoted €20 and then demanded significantly more before leaving.
The Gardaí have been notified, however, we do encourage residents not to be vigilant and to spread the word with any elderly neighbours who may be unaware.
