Autumn is here and the leaves are starting to fall.

07 Oct 2021

DCC have kindly provided materials to build leaf mulch nets in a number of locations around Clontarf.   The nets will be installed over the next week or so and will be located mainly in green areas or laneways.  The proposed locations include St Lawrence Grove, Seaview Ave, Kincora Grove, Kincora Road, Seafield Road, Hampton Court, Conquer Hill Road, Hunters Row, Seacourt, St Gabriel’s Road/Mt Prospect Ave, Park Lawn, Woodside and can be seen on this map. Please let us know if you have any other suggested locations.

We are asking everyone to please help keep the paths and drains clear of fallen leaves by gathering them and putting them into these bins or by mulching them at home.

We also have large green bio bags for leaves available for those who can’t use the mulch nets.  These bags are solely intended for collecting leaves from the public paths and roads.  If you would like some bio bags, please email us at Clontarf.res.assoc@gmail.com with your address and we will arrange to drop some bags to you.  These bags have been supplied by DCC and are solely for leaves that will be composted so please don’t put ordinary rubbish into these bags.

The filled bags should ideally be brought to the leaf net areas but if this is not feasible, they can be left on the grass verge and DCC will collect them.
