Appeal to Donate Essential Equipment to Dublin Hospitals

31 Mar 2020

We received a request this week from a nurse living in Clontarf and working in a major Dublin hospital. St James' Hospital and Blanchardstown are in urgent need of gloves and facemasks and protective gowns to look after COVID 19 patients. Currently, they must wear the same PPE gown and can only change their masks three times per day, and their gloves for each patient. The last of PPE is putting both the frontline healthcare workers in these hospitals and their patients at risk.

If any local business has had to close due to the COVID-19 outbreak, who might have any of the above equipment, you are urged to donate them if possible. Please let us know if you can help.

Separately, for those looking hand sanitiser, O' Hara's Spar has just received a delivery which is in stock in both shops. The cost is €4.95 for 187 ml.
