An Post Irish Book Awards Shortlist!
With additional restrictions and the winter months looming, all we want to do is snuggle up on the sofa with a good book and a hot chocolate. Luckily, the shortlist for the An Post Irish Book Awards has just been announced! Genres ranging from crime fiction to cookbooks are just some of the categories - there’s something for everyone.

If you’re tired of your teens watching TikToks, why not encourage them to read local Anna Carey’s The Boldness of Betty? It is shortlisted for SpecSavers’ Children’s Book of the Year (Senior) 2020 so it’s bound to be a good read!
These are only some of the brilliant, well-written books in the running to win their categories. You can now vote for your favourite ones by clicking here and in turn, be entered into the prize draw to win €100 in National Book Tokens. Voting closes on the 16th of November.

On December 10th, you can watch interviews with some of the winning authors and the announcement of the overall winner on a new TV Show on RTÉ called An Post Irish Book of the Year.
