Adult Sailing Course at Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club
The Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club run an Adult Introduction to Sailing course every May, dedicating a week of sailing to budding trainees. The CY&BC love introducing new people to the sport they love and want to keep it simple, fun and friendly! They spend the majority of the course on the water helping you to start learning the ropes. No experience in sailing is required.
The course is run over the evenings of 22th to the 27th of May. The CY&BC finish up with a Rookie Race & barbecue on Saturday 30th May.
The course includes:
- introduction to sailing
- principles of sailing
- safety
- weather
- on the water experience (most evenings)
- practical demonstrations
- information handout/booklet
- end of course certificate
All successful trainees receive a certificate which is presented at our celebratory end of course barbecue where trainees can mingle with other sailors and arrange further sailing experiences.
