ADULT INTRODUCTION TO SAILING COURSE Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club May 2026

Have you seen people out in their boats here in Clontarf and wondered what sailing might be like? Well, the opportunity is here for you to experience sailing at Clontarf Yacht & Boat Club (CY&BC).

They run an Adult Introduction to Sailing Course every year where they dedicate a week of sailing to rookie sailors. The CY&BC get great satisfaction in introducing new people to the sport they love. They keep it simple, fun and friendly! The majority of the course is spent on the water, helping you to start learning the ropes.

No sailing experience, specialised clothing or equipment is required. Rookies are invited to a course barbeque on Saturday May 16th where you will receive a certificate. Advice will be given on joining the Club (at a reduced rate for two years) and how to avail of crewing experiences on board their fleet.

May 8th to May 16th 2026 — €370

• Friday May 8th: Club-house and yard @ 19:00

• Saturday May 9th: Water Based @ 16:00

• Sunday May 10th: Water Based @ 16:30

• Monday May 11th: Water Based from 18:30

• Tuesday May 12th: Water Based from 18:30

• Saturday May 16th: Water Based Rookie Race @ 10:00 | BBQ @ 20:00
