A Modern Clontarf Miss Dublin 2020 Journey

13 Oct 2020

During these unprecedented times, we realise that all we have is each other and the Clontarf community have shown their resilience and willingness to help each other.

Emma Jones, a former Holy Faith student, is sharing her experience of her candidacy to become ‘Miss Dublin 2020’. When asked why she decided to undertake this, she said that it would push her out of her comfort zone. Given the current situation, her main goal was for something positive to come out of this year and she was ecstatic when she heard that she had been chosen as a “Miss Dublin” Finalist. You can check out her Instagram to follow her journey.

She announced last week that Kinara restaurant in Clontarf has officially sponsored her journey - it's fantastic to see a great local business supporting her. She will wear this beautiful sash in the final. Unfortunately, the ceremony has been postponed until it is safe for people to attend it.

She hasn’t stopped there though. Emma was encouraged to raise money for charity as, due to the pandemic, many charities are being neglected. She chose to raise funds for ‘Dogs for the Disabled’. The charity came to DCU, where she studies Irish and Human Development.  With the platform that she has created now, she thought of no better way to support them.
