As the 2024/25 rugby season kicks off, we at LoveClontarf.ie are pleased to share an inspiring message from Clontarf Rugby Club President, Conor O’Mahony.

A Message from Conor O’Mahony:

"As President, I would like to give a warm welcome for the return to rugby to all our members, supporters, visiting teams and match day officials who make the journey to Castle Avenue this season.

It is a fantastic honour for me to be elected as President of Clontarf FC for the 2024/2025 season and am so looking forward to representing our Club in the coming season. Clontarf has, and will always have, an incredibly special place in my heart as it is where I have met lifelong friends. No matter whether we won or lost, it was our Club that kept us together and created a sense of family.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate all our players, coaches, management, and parents of all our fielded teams. Our success over the last 10/15 years on and off the pitch can be attributed to our management team and supporting committees, our new Gym and recently re-furbished upstairs Lounge is testament to their dedication.

For the coming year, I would like to wish our Club Captain Dylan Donnellan, our Women’s Captain Emma Burns and their teams a success in the coming season. Equally I would like to wish all our players, guardians, volunteers, coaches, and management of all our teams a successful and enjoyable season.

A special word of thanks to all our generous sponsors for their continued support, which is very much appreciated. I would be obliged if all our members can support them whenever and wherever possible. Without our sponsors we would be in an exceedingly difficult situation.

To all our volunteers, our Club could not function without your help. We are fortunate to have a group of dedicated members who give up their time to ensure the smooth running of the club.

I look forward to welcoming you, your family, our many friends and guests to Castle Avenue and I hope you all have a competitive, injury free season."
